Media as medicine
Stories can build
resilience.
Film reaches people not only through information, but through recognition, perspective and connection.
Together with Prof. Dr. Marten W. de Vries, professor of social psychiatry affiliated with Harvard and Maastricht, Cross Avenue develops psychosocial media interventions. Films and social networks are used to strengthen mental resilience around complex and emotionally charged subjects.
This approach has been studied and applied with residents of neighbourhoods in Maastricht and with people affected by traumatic events in Colombia and Sri Lanka.

02Colombia
